This
is a work in progress as I add full dates as I am able to find them.
Contact Debby with
corrections and additions. I am also accepting obituaries and tombstone
photographs to add to these pages.
Photographing the headstones is a time consuming task and is continuing as we find stones that were missed or first photos were not readable. Contact

1865 Deed for lot #92 in the Old Section (13). Submitted by Barbara LaMarche.
On Thursday, September 27, 2007 a group met at the Mount Hope Cemetery office to start an official project to finish photographing Mount Hope tombstones. We divided the unphotographed area of the cemetery into 22 smaller, more manageable areas. The goal is to not only photograph all the stones, but to do it in an orderly fashion so that any corrections or additions may be easier to complete.
Volunteers for this project are:
There are some remaining areas which have not been claimed or were claimed and did not follow through. If you are interested in doing this, have a digital camera and the ability to burn the photos to a CD or DVD, stop by the cemetery office during the week and talk to Mike Nicoll about signing up for an area. Volunteers are given a folder with instructions, a section map of the cemetery, a map highlighting the selected area and a plat of the selected area.
Photos have also been taken by John C. Anderson - Highland 4th & 5th (1 & 2), Pleasant Hill(12), Old Plot(13); and Debby Beheler St. Vincents/Hebrew (19-25) and Soldiers Monument (28). There have also been submissions of selected tombstones by many others.
